Encrypted Data Deduplication without Additional Server

Abstract:

Cloud storage services such as Dropbox and Google Drive enable individuals and organizations to outsource data storage to remote servers. Cloud storage providers generally adopt data deduplication, a technique for eliminating redundant data by keeping only a single copy of a file, thus saving a considerable amount of storage and bandwidth. However, encryption may nullify the deduplication gain. Moreover, an attacker can abuse deduplication protocols to steal information. In this talk, I will have an overview of security and privacy issues in deduplicated cloud storage services.

Bio:

游家牧目前擔任中興大學資訊工程系助理教授. 自任教以後, 曾受邀於Università degli Studi di Padova給予短期課程, 並在RIKEN AIP, Universitat Rovira i Virgili, EURECOM等研究機構訪問演講. 曾獲得中興大學優聘教授 (2018), 台日物聯網安全工作坊 best poster award (2017), ACM/IICM李國鼎青年研究獎 (2017), 潘文淵基金會研究考察獎 (2016), 科技部優秀年輕學者研究計畫 (2015). 曾擔任 IEEE Access Associate Editor (2013-2016), ACM WiSec TPC member (2017), IEEE CNS-Workshop Co-Chair (2018). 目前研究興趣為 Data Privacy Techniques (如Differential Privacy與Privacy Risk Evaluation) 以及 IoT-Cloud Security.
