Yi-Hsuan Yang received the Ph.D. degree in Communication Engineering from National Taiwan University, Taiwan, in 2010. Since September 2011, he has been with the Academia Sinica Research Center for Information Technology Innovation, where he is an Assistant Research Fellow. His research interests include music information retrieval, multimedia content analysis, machine learning, and affective computing. He was awarded the 2011 IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) Young Author Best Paper Award. He is an author of the book Music Emotion Recognition, published by CRC Press in 2011. He gave a tutorial on music affect recognition in the International Society for Music Information Retrieval Conference (ISMIR) in 2012. His work on emotion-based music video generation won the first prize in ACM Multimedia Grand Challenge 2012. He is going to organize the International Workshop on Affective Analysis in Multimedia, 2013.
