The development of empathetic and emotional support dialogue systems holds significant promise for mental health support, counseling assistance. However, LLMs remain insufficient, as such tasks require a high sensitivity to emotional understanding and the ability to appropriately guide users. In this work, an integrated framework called Dynamic Plug-and-Play Rational Speech Acts (DPPRSA) was developed. DPPRSA fosters more empathetic, and strategically appropriate support in the task of Emotional Support response generation.
